MINDFULNESS TRAININGS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
This fall, beginning October 1, 2009 I will be offering a Mindfulness Trainings Mentorship Program. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to receive the support you need for your practice and personal growth and to learn how to involve others in your practice and growth. I have created a yahoo group that will be used as the primary source of communication along with personal e-mails, phone calls and in-person meetings. What is Mindfulness Trainings Mentorship Program? A mentoring program for those who have received or are interested in studying and practicing the Five Mindfulness Trainings in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, and the practice of mindfulness applied to daily life. Participants will engage in on-line, in person and over the phone dialogue, will complete weekly assignments and check-ins with their mentor. This training is meant to be a preliminary training for mentorship into the Order of Interbeing, but is not limited solely for participants interested in ordaining to the order. Emphasis of this training is on applying the practice to your personal, relational, familial, social and work life, as well as, learning how to facilitate mindfulness practice gatherings for others. What Does The Program Cost? The training is free to all that would like to wholeheartedly participate. Participants will be responsible for obtaining their own supplies, if materials such as books, recordings and such are required. Fees for attending retreats, talks and other community functions may also apply. Participants will be expected to help in organizing and facilitating special events incorporating mindfulness practice.
